Onsite - Montreal Valnet is seeking an Analyst, a value creation operator within the Investment Team’s Yield arm.

This role focuses on partnering with operations to improve EBITDA, cash flow, and revenue quality across Valnet’s core businesses and new ventures.

You will partner with business/unit leaders to identify, quantify, and help execute profitability improvements by linking investment theses and operating priorities to measurable financial outcomes.

Responsibilities 1.

Investment & ROI Modeling Build financial models and adhoc analyses Evaluate new revenue initiatives (direct deals, partnerships, DB monetization, premium products, etc.) 2.

P&L Performance Acceleration Run recurring P&L and KPI reviews across portfolios Identify margin expansion opportunities and cost inefficiencies Recommend capital reallocation toward higher-yield initiatives 3.

Investment Trajectory Monitor performance vs.

investment thesis (VBS leaderboard) Track milestones and leading indicators Flag risks early and propose corrective actions Ensure resources flow to winners 4.

Revenue quality Support business cases for new monetization streams Model pricing, ramp curves, retention, and contribution margins Improve revenue quality (predictability, retention, margin mix) 5.

AI & Automation Use AI tools fluently to automate reporting and analysis Build lightweight agents/workflows to increase analytical velocity Continuously improve decision speed and insight generation 6.

Executive Exposure Prepare decision-ready materials for the C-suite Present findings clearly, concisely, and with conviction Required Qualifications 1–5+ years in M&A, private equity, strategy consulting, or transaction services Strong P&L intuition — understands operational drivers, not just financial outputs Advanced Excel / Sheets modeling (scenarios, sensitivities, dynamic dashboards) Bias for action: comfortable moving from analysis to execution support High ownership mentality and accountability Clear communicator — simplifies complexity AI-native mindset Benefits:

En presentiel – Montréal Valnet est à la recherche d’un(e) Analyste, un opérateur de création de valeur au sein de l’équipe d’investissement, dans le pôle Yield.

Ce rôle consiste à collaborer étroitement avec les équipes opérationnelles afin d’améliorer l’EBITDA, les flux de trésorerie et la qualité des revenus à travers les activités principales de Valnet et ses nouvelles initiatives.
