The Telfer School of Management invites applications for Assistant Professor in Sustainable Finance with a strong focus on research and teaching from July 1, 2026. Ideal candidates will excel in finance education and contribute to innovative research efforts in environmental, social, and governance investing.
As an Assistant Professor, you will engage in scholarly activities while teaching graduate students across diverse finance programs. An emphasis on securing research funding in sustainable finance and demonstrating leadership in interdisciplinary studies is essential. A Ph.D. in Finance is required, complemented by teaching expertise across various finance courses.
Key Responsibilities:
• Elevate finance education through quality teaching practices
• Supervise Telfer’s Doctorate and MSc Finance students
• Conduct rigorous research on sustainable finance topics
• Active involvement in academic service related to Finance
• Enhance interdisciplinary initiatives within graduate programs
Requirements:
• Ph.D. in Finance or related field at hire
• High-caliber research published in top finance journals
• Fluent communication skills in English;
French preferred
• Demonstrated teaching capability in finance
• Interest in collaborative research on sustainability
