Spécialiste senior - comptes clients et crédit ut the role As a Senior Specialist in Accounts Receivable and Credit at Smardt, you will play a pivotal role in managing the financial health of our client accounts. Your expertise will contribute to optimizing cash flow and ensuring timely collections while maintaining strong relationships with our clients. This position requires a keen analytical mind and the ability to navigate complex financial situations, making it essential for you to be detail-oriented and proactive in your approach.

You will collaborate closely with various departments to support our overall financial strategy and enhance our credit management processes.

What you'll do
  • - Oversee the accounts receivable process, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing to clients.
  • - Monitor outstanding receivables and follow up with clients to facilitate prompt payment.
  • - Conduct credit assessments for new and existing clients to determine creditworthiness and risk levels.
  • - Develop and implement credit policies and procedures to minimize financial risk and enhance cash flow.
  • - Collaborate with the sales team to resolve any billing discrepancies and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • - Prepare and present regular reports on accounts receivable performance, highlighting trends and areas for improvement.
  • - Work closely with the finance team to reconcile accounts and ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • - Manage collections for overdue accounts, negotiating payment plans when necessary to recover outstanding debts.
  • - Provide training and support to junior team members on best practices in credit management and accounts receivable processes.
  • - Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations and best practices related to credit and collections.
  • - Participate in cross-functional projects aimed at improving overall financial operations and client service.
  • - Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts related to accounts receivable and cash flow projections.
Requirements
  • - Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • - A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts receivable, credit management, or a similar role.
  • - Strong understanding of credit risk assessment and financial analysis techniques.
  • - Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • - Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • - Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • - Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
Nice to have
  • - Experience in the manufacturing or industrial sector is a plus.
  • - Familiarity with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
  • - Bilingual proficiency in French and English to communicate with a diverse client base.
  • - Certification in credit management or a related professional designation.
