About Nano Xplore

Nano Xplore is one of the world's largest graphene manufacturers, and one of the few companies producing graphene at industrial scale. From our Montréal headquarters and manufacturing operations across Canada and the United States, we supply high-volume graphene powder and graphene-enhanced plastic and composite products to customers in transportation, automotive, industrial and consumer markets.

We are a publicly traded company (TSX: GRA) in a growth and scale-up phase - building capacity, commercializing new products, and converting a differentiated technology into durable profitability. It is a rare combination: the discipline of a public company with the pace and open field of a company still writing its playbook.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Vice President, Finance holds senior financial leadership responsibility for a publicly traded corporation operating in Canada and the United States. You will act as the CFO's designate, safeguard the integrity of our financial reporting and internal controls, take a leading role in our capital markets and investor relations activity, and serve as a trusted advisor to the executive team, the Board of Directors and its Audit Committee.

This is not a back-office finance role. It faces two directions ard, you will sit close to the plants and to the P&L - partnering with Operations to improve margin, generate cash and de-risk the business as we scale. Outward, you will be a senior finance voice to the market, helping carry our equity story to investors, analysts and lenders and securing the capital that funds our growth.

What

You Will Do
  • Financial reporting and compliance. Direct all accounting, consolidation, financial reporting, tax and internal-control functions. Lead the preparation and certification of quarterly and annual financial statements, MD&A and regulatory filings under IFRS/US GAAP and Canadian (TSX/CSA) and U.S. (SEC) requirements.
  • Capital markets and financing. Help lead Nano Xplore's access to capital. Manage capital structure and capital allocation; plan and execute equity and debt financings, credit and lending facilities, government funding programs and related transactions; maintain covenant compliance and liquidity headroom; and manage relationships with lenders, banks, underwriters and rating agencies. Build the analysis - valuation, cost of capital, dilution, scenario and sensitivity work - that supports every financing and capital-allocation decision.
  • Investor relations. Take a leading role across the full investor-relations cycle alongside the CEO and CFO: quarterly results and earnings calls, investor presentations, guidance and disclosure materials, roadshows, conferences and one-on-one meetings, and ongoing dialogue with sell-side analysts, institutional and retail shareholders. Own the integrity of the equity story - that the numbers, the narrative and the guidance are consistent, defensible and clearly understood by the market - and keep the executive team and Board informed through consensus tracking, peer and valuation benchmarking, shareholder registry analysis and market intelligence.
  • Operational partnership and profitability. Partner with Operations and site leadership to drive profitability - plant, product and program-level margin analysis, standard costing, yield and capacity economics, capital-project business cases and post-investment reviews. Translate what happens on the floor into financial outcomes, and give operating leaders the numbers they need to act on.
  • Cash flow generation. Own the cash agenda: working-capital discipline across inventory, receivables and payables, cash-conversion improvement, capital-expenditure prioritization, and free-cash-flow forecasting - with clear targets and accountability across the business.
  • Risk identification and mitigation. Lead enterprise financial risk management: identify, quantify and mitigate exposure across foreign exchange, raw-material and commodity cost, credit and counter party risk, liquidity and covenant headroom, customer and supplier concentration, contractual commitments and insurance coverage. Maintain the risk…
