The Finance function is currently in a phase of stabilizing solutions, implementing targeted improvements, and managing multiple initiatives simultaneously. We are looking for a Business Analyst whose focus will be on core financial processes, with a clear objective of driving effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity gains. This is a key position within the Finance function, with a focus on process integrity, operational excellence, and the effective use of existing financial systems and tools.
The Business Analyst will serve as a subject matter expert in financial processes to identify, prioritize, and implement improvements that optimize processes, enhance the quality of financial information, and support the effective use of existing technology solutions.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Financial process analysis and optimization
Analyze and understand current and target financial processesIdentify pain points, inefficiencies, risks, and opportunities for improvementDevelop practical recommendations aimed at operational effectiveness, efficiency, and standardizationStrengthen the quality of internal controls and financial informationParticipate in the implementation of approved improvements and assess their resultsSupport for Finance initiatives and business needs
Gather, analyze, and prioritize business and functional needs from Finance teamsAssess the accounting and financial impacts of requests and initiativesInvestigate, analyze, and resolve issues related to financial processes and systemsSupport and continuous improvement
Support end users in adopting and using processes and toolsContribute to the development of training materials and related communicationsAct as the Finance representative in cross-functional initiatives impacting financial processesContribute to the continuous improvement of Finance practices and technology solutionsQUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in business administration or accounting5 to 7 years of relevant experience in financial processes and/or in continuous improvement projects for financial processesExcellent understanding of financial and accounting processes, as well as internal controlsDemonstrated ability to identify and generate productivity gainsInterest in and ease with financial technology solutionsExperience with Workday ERP systems and Epicor Prophet 21 (an asset)Knowledge of distribution environments (an asset)CPA designation (an asset)Key Competencies
Pragmatic and results-orientedAutonomous, detail-oriented, analytical, and solution-focusedAbility to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously in a fast-paced environmentHands-on, proactive, and action-orientedAbility to influence and collaborate effectivelyExcellent verbal and written communication skillsBilingualism in French and English is required to communcate with stakeholders across the country---------------------------------
