Location: Montreal
Become a Labour Relations Associate at CN, specializing in union relations and grievance resolution in a standard office environment. This full-time role operates Monday to Friday.
As a Labour Relations Associate, you will execute a strategy to cultivate positive relations with union representatives and effectively manage grievances.
Your role demands analytical skills to monitor grievance trends and support management in developing actionable plans. Additionally, you’ll coach front-line supervisors to navigate collective agreements and uphold employee rights successfully.
Key Responsibilities:
• Cultivate relationships with union representatives
• Conduct meetings to ensure effective grievance follow-ups
• Update grievance records and generate reports
• Advise supervisors on labor relations practices
• Prepare materials for arbitration discussions
Requirements:
• 2 years of labor relations experience required
• Familiarity with collective agreements is critical
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Degree in Labour Relations or relevant field
• Bilingual in English and French is necessary
