A well-established and highly respected Ottawa law firm is seeking an experienced Estate Litigation Associate to join its growing Litigation team. Key Responsibilities

Manage estate litigation files from intake through resolution

Represent clients in estate disputes and related civil litigation matters

Appear before courts and tribunals as required

Draft pleadings, motion materials, factums, and other litigation documents

Conduct discoveries, mediations, and settlement negotiations

Provide strategic advice to clients on estate and civil litigation matters

Contribute to business development initiatives and client relationship management

Collaborate with colleagues across practice areas when required

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years’ experience practicing in a law firm

Minimum 3 years’ focused experience in estate litigation

Licensed member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario

Experience practicing law in Ontario

Strong technical litigation skills

Excellent written and oral advocacy skills

Superior analytical and organizational abilities

High degree of professional ethics and integrity

Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment

Demonstrated interest or involvement in business development
