Within an organization undergoing significant transformation, and as the banking model continues to evolve, National Bank of Canada is seeking a visionary and inspiring Vice President, Human Experience and Performance (HEP).
In this strategic role, you will shape and evolve the Bank's HEP approach, directly supporting its ambition to become the Best Canadian Bank for Canadians. You will play a key role in aligning employee experience, talent strategy, and performance with a unified go‑to‑market approach that fosters syergy and a highly collaborative operating model.
With an entrepreneurial mindset, you will be responsible for aligning the employee experience with the business realities of the Wealth Management sector, while contributing to the strategy and execution of Human Experience and Performance priorities. Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Human Experience and Performance, you will join a high‑performing, inclusive team leading a pan‑Canadian transformation focused on new ways of working and emerging technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strong leadership in delivering the organization's shared mission by being able to:
- Foster long-term client engagement;
- Develop and mobilize a committed and passionate team dedicated to clients and the employee experience;
- Create the conditions for success that enable high-quality execution aligned with the shared mission, "One Bank, One Team";
- Contribute to generating profitable growth and a diversified portfolio of activities that support the organization's performance and financial strength;
- Support the organization's pan-Canadian cultural evolution and the regional vision of the HEP service offering;
- Develop dynamic management of delivery pools and work in synergy with a wide range of partners to achieve business objectives and meet employee needs;
- Deploy the required human capabilities and effectively drive the change necessary to achieve growth and performance ambitions;
- Continuously share business knowledge and needs to ensure that HEP strategies and practices have a positive impact on both client and employee experience;
- Support the development of leadership capabilities and the performance of executive teams.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Relations or a related field, with a minimum of 15 years of experience in change management and organizational and human transformation, using a strategic and results-oriented approach;
- Demonstrated entrepreneurial leadership in complex, matrixed environments;
- Strong ability to communicate, build relationships, influence, and mobilize partners in a collaborative manner;
- Pragmatic and inspiring leadership, with a strong commitment to promoting and influencing the Bank's culture of change and performance;
- Excellent understanding of technology and the ability to lead in a highly digital-driven environment;
- Ability to act as a builder, set the right priorities, and facilitate transformation;
- Experience in a large corporate environment;
English, French
