Job description :

Our client is a well-established organization in the construction and civil engineering sector, active on projects of various sizes across Quebec. They are currently searching for their next Head of corporate / political affairs.

The company is well recognized for its technical expertise and operational rigor, the organization delivers mandates in both the public and private sectors. It relies on multidisciplinary teams, structured processes, and a culture focused on collaboration and quality execution.

Main Responsibilities :

  • Management of the CEO’s priorities and strategic agenda, including the prioritization of internal and external requests, the preparation and coordination of strategic meetings, and the follow-up on sensitive matters and action plans.
  • Support to the CEO’s decision-making, through the collection, analysis, and synthesis of relevant information, as well as the preparation of briefing notes, analyses, and recommendations on key issues affecting the organization and its sector.
  • Management of the CEO’s external positioning and presence, including the planning and coordination of communications, content, and public engagements, as well as participation in relevant industry events.
  • management of institutional relations and strategic coordination, encompassing the monitoring of issues with government and municipal partners, as well as leading or supporting high-impact, cross-functional initiatives in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Management of internal communications and relationships, acting as a liaison between the CEO and teams to facilitate information flow, alignment on priorities, and contribution to the development of a collaborative and performance-driven organizational culture.
  • Industry monitoring and business intelligence, including tracking key trends, issues, and developments within the sector, and formulating strategic recommendations to support the CEO’s and the organization’s strategic direction.
  • Skills and qualifications :

    Required Profile :

  • Relevant experience (8+ years) in political environement, strategic project management, consulting, or in a role supporting senior leadership.
  • University degree in management, communications, public affairs, or a related field.
  • Excellent written communication, analytical, and synthesis skills.
  • Comfort operating in environments requiring discretion, sound judgment, and political acumen.
  • Strong leadership, agility, and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Fluency in French and English.
