Responsibilities
Responsible for the delivery of consulting services such as business and finance process improvement and finance function organizational effectiveness studies.Execute business and financial process review and redesigns and other forms of project-based management consulting assignments with the objectives of optimizations of service delivery:
Procure to Pay Order to Cash Payroll Acquire to Retire Project Accounting Financial close and reporting Budget and Financial Forecast ("Plan to Perform")Responsible for leading multiple projects and project managers for the Performance Improvement Operations TeamPlan, conduct and provide leadership in data collection through primary, secondary, comparative and best practice research, including interviews, focus groups, facilitated workshops, surveys, review of client data, direct observation, and direct contacts.Accountable for managing project financials (use of resources, budgets, WIP, timely billing, collection, variance recognition)Facilitate collaboration with client engagement team prior to commencement of client work to discuss roles and responsibilities, risk areas and project metricsThink strategically about client needs by quickly gaining an understanding of their business, their organization, operating environment, and key risksIdentify ways to maximize the relationship with clients and deliver added valueMaintain high quality control by reviewing work done from other team members for accuracy and completeness; provide feedback to team membersMonitor project timelines against targets, adjust where necessary; advise clients of project status and seek clarification on discrepancies, where applicableLeverage team appropriately to ensure proper documentation is prepared for the client and procedures relating to the file are followed accordinglyDevelop a thorough understanding of MNP’s services, businesses, and industryNetwork in the local business community and consider business development opportunitiesContribute to the development of new ideas and approaches in order to improve work processesMentor, motivate and coach team members towards professional and personal development by setting clear expectations, providing feedback, and addressing performance issues promptlyPromote regular attendance, balanced lifestyle, and high standard of team wellnessConduct formal, written annual performance reviewsSkills and Experience
Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting option or other accounting training. Accounting designation required (CPA, CA or CMA or CPA, CGA)5 to 7 years of consulting experience having managed Finance transformation or process improvement projectsBilingual, speaking and writingExperience in business and practice development is considered an assetExperience in project management is considered an assetStrong written and verbal communication skillsStrong process mapping and documentationExperience in business and practice developmentStrong computer literacy including effective working skills of Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point Some travel may be required
