The

team

In this role, you will manage the New Bets team within Fintech. This team is focused on building 0-to-1 financial products that help Jobber customers run the financial side of their businesses more effectively. The team is currently building bookkeeping and accounting capabilities, with a mandate to bring new products from early discovery through launch, stable operations, and future expansion.

The role

As a leader within the Fintech group, you will manage a growing engineering team as they build new products in ambiguous, fast-moving spaces. You’ll help the team bring our bookkeeping product into stable operations after launch, establish strong AI-augmented development practices, and create the conditions for the team to operate with a high degree of independence across product, design, and engineering decisions.

The Fintech group’s New Bets team exists to help Jobber service providers spend less time managing financial operations and more time providing great service and growing their businesses.

Reporting to a Senior Manager of Software Engineering, the Manager of Software Engineering will lead and support their team members in developing their skills, advancing their careers—all while contributing to our mission of empowering small businesses. You'll also play a key role in shaping the technical direction of our platform, ensuring it remains reliable and high-performing as we scale Jobber.
