We are looking for an AIT Project Manager to join our satellite systems team at our Montreal office.
Responsibilities- Reviews requests from AIT managers, implements and assists in planning the resources needed to manage the line or program.
- Assists AIT managers with budget management and develops or improves financial management tools.
- Prepares detailed schedules to track program progress on a daily basis, conducts frequent and regular assessments of costs to date and remaining estimates, and develops contingency plans as needed to meet cost and schedule objectives.
- Identifies and manages risks and opportunities related to the program or integration line.
- Monitors progress on integration and continuous improvement projects.
- Assists AIT managers in ensuring station readiness.
- Maintains visibility into schedules for internal clients through presentations and supports monthly reviews of AIT teams.
- Three years of experience in program/project management or project engineering in a related technical field.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in mechanical or electrical engineering or a related field.
- Experience in negotiations, risk management, contract management, subcontract management, finance, and U.S. ITAR regulations.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Team player.
- Proactive, dynamic, resourceful, and self‑motivated.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to interact with all levels of the organization and with external clients.
- Must be flexible and open to change.
- Ability to communicate in French and English. (Contact with customers outside Quebec and head office managers in Ontario).
- Proficiency in project management tools.
Successful candidates must obtain and hold security clearance at the reliability status level and pass a security assessment for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP).
