What You’ll Do:
Distribution Center Operations
- Develop, maintain, and adjust DC strategy, prioritization, and budget planning to ensure effective execution.
- Communicate long-term plans across departments, assessing impacts on campus-wide staffing and budgets.
- Define operating models, shift structures, and resource strategies that align with current and future business needs.
- Lead change management initiatives to optimize processes/flows and ensure SLA adherence.
- Serve as primary decision‑maker for all projects, long-term planning, and budget compliance.
- Lead, coach, and develop the leadership team through performance evaluations, career development opportunities, succession planning and tailored assignments.
- Establish, monitor, and communicate key performance indicators (KPIs), leading regular business reviews with senior leadership and cross‑functional partners.
- Champion high‑impact continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Partner with HR and the Sr. Director – NA to implement strategies focused on team development and engagement to help building an inclusive culture within the DCs.
- Promote a proactive Health & Safety culture by ensuring safe working practices, regulatory compliance, and risk management across the DCs.
- Direct oversight of third‑party logistics providers, ensuring contractual compliance, KPI achievement, budget alignment, operational excellence, and alignment with company objectives.
- Partner with Procurement, Legal, and Supply Chain leadership to negotiate, manage, and optimize 3PL contracts, rates, service agreements, and operational scopes.
- Own distribution center operating budget and financial performance, including labor, transportation, occupancy, maintenance, supplies, and capital expenditures.
- Develop and maintain business continuity, disaster recovery, and contingency plans to ensure uninterrupted supply chain operations.
Maintenance
- Develop and execute the maintenance strategy, including prioritization, budget planning, cost forecasting, cost‑saving opportunities and workflow optimization.
- Oversee all maintenance‑related strategic initiatives from beginning to end.
- Oversee all preventive and corrective maintenance efforts for all equipment, buildings, and systems in partnership with cross‑functional teams.
- Oversee existing leases for multiple buildings and liaise with Landlord’s management team around all things that impact the facility and or grounds.
- Oversee facilities operations including repair, maintenance, and installation of equipment to ensure continuous operations.
- Oversee all janitorial functions within the facility, offices and grounds maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
- Lead and develop the maintenance leadership team through coaching, evaluations, and growth opportunities.
- Monitor and report greenhouse gas emissions and vehicle fuel consumption to support sustainability and compliance initiatives.
- Monitor performance metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Partner with HR and the Sr. Director – NA to support people development strategies within the maintenance function.
You’ll Need to Have:
- Minimum 7‑10 years of progressive leadership experience in distribution, logistics, or maintenance operations.
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Distribution Management, Supply Chain/Logistics or related field.
- Strong knowledge and experience working on Manhattan Associates WMS, WM or PMS, or equivalent system.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills. Fluency in English and French a must.
- Excellent project and time management skills.
- Excellent problem‑solving, critical thinking and analytical skills.
- Understanding of building systems, safety regulations, and maintenance software.
