Volunteering Canterbury invites applications for a Youth Board Member, with the vacancy occurring at the Annual General Meeting. The role offers an opportunity to join a dedicated group working to support various communities, including Pasifika and Maori. Meetings occur monthly, allowing for collaboration with fellow members in shaping volunteer initiatives within Canterbury.
Key Responsibilities:
• Participate in 1-2 hour monthly Board meetings
• Provide guidance on youth-related volunteering programs
• Advocate for representation of diverse communities
• Engage in the development of volunteer training
• Suggest improvements to volunteer placement strategies
Requirements:
• Enthusiastic about volunteering and its community impact
• Experience in youth-focused activities or programs
• Willingness to commit to regular meeting attendance
