Location: Montreal
As a Jack Talk for Indigenous Youth Facilitator, you will lead engaging discussions focused on mental health issues relevant to Indigenous young people across Canada. This opportunity is designed for youth aged 18-29 to promote wellness in their communities.
Facilitators will guide live sharing circles, using training to build foundational skills in advocacy, public speaking, and group facilitation. Participants will earn an honorarium for their contributions while reducing stigma related to mental health within their networks. This program emphasizes peer-to-peer education and support.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead discussions using video-based resources on mental health
• Create safe spaces for sharing experiences among peers
• Develop skills in group facilitation and advocacy
• Participate in training provided for facilitators
• Engage with participants to promote mental health conversations
Requirements:
• Indigenous youth between 18-29 years old
• Passion for mental health advocacy and peer dialogue
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to facilitate discussions compassionately
• Willing to commit time for training and participation
Support fellow Indigenous youth in navigating mental health challenges through impactful conversations in the Jack Talk program.
