Sustainability Officer

Position: Sustainability Officer at McGill University

Join McGill University as a Sustainability Officer, where you'll lead engagement programs and promote sustainability initiatives among students, staff, and faculty. Drive community involvement and enhance sustainable practices.

Reporting to the Associate Director of Administration of the McGill Office of Sustainability, this pivotal role focuses on mobilizing the university community to achieve sustainability objectives. You'll plan, develop, and expand various engagement programs, notably enhancing the Sustainable Workplace and Events Certifications. Collaborate closely with the Student Housing and Hospitality Services to execute impactful sustainability activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Organize sustainability engagement activities for McGill community

• Foster relationships with internal and external partners

• Recruit and train volunteers for various sustainability programs

• Ensure compliance with Sustainable Events Certification

• Integrate sustainability themes into student orientation

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in relevant field

• Minimum three years related experience

• Strong relationship-building and analytical skills

• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks

• Excellent English communication skills
