Role Overview

As a Client Service Consultant located in any of CGIC’s Quebec locations (Laval, Kirkland, Beauport, Saint‑Eustache, Gatineau, Caplan, or Warwick), you will consistently attract new business, meet or exceed sales targets, and provide excellent client care. You will support and develop agency and call‑center operations through prospecting, client contacts, and sales activities focused on auto and property insurance.

The PRÊT Program

Co‑operators is launching a virtual training class in collaboration with Cégep de Lanaudière, starting October 2026. Upon completion you will obtain your personal property and casualty insurance licence through the PRÊT program.

  • 450 hours of training in personal property and casualty insurance

How You Will Create Impact
  • Sell auto and property insurance to clients by identifying needs, proactively building a network that cultivates sales opportunities, and responding to cross‑channel leads in a timely fashion.
  • Apply underwriting guidelines within the current binding authority levels, provide quotes, and upsell or cross‑sell other product lines via referrals.
  • Contribute to overall sales growth by achieving individual sales, quality, and productivity goals.
  • Provide exceptional client service by responding to inquiries, resolving complaints, and escalating matters appropriately.
  • Maintain client retention by supporting referrals and communicating effectively with clients who inquire about cancellation.
  • Support primarily non‑French speaking clients inside or outside Quebec, requiring regular English proficiency. These duties are not assignable to adjacent team members.
To Join Our Team
  • At least one year of experience in an office environment.
  • Some post‑secondary education.
  • Knowledge of underwriting practices and home and auto insurance products.
  • Possession of the Personal Lines Damage Insurance Licence from the Autorité des marchés financiers du Québec (AMF).
  • Proficiency in French essential for primary duties. English skills are an asset.

Salary

Annual base salary: $43,550.00 to $72,583.00 CAD.

Salary placement:
The salary amount for the successful candidate is determined by Co‑operators in its discretion and will vary depending on local market conditions, geography, and relevant job‑related factors.

Incentive/Variable pay:
Employees may also participate in incentive programs and earn additional compensation tied to individual and/or business performance or other metrics.
