We are currently looking for motivated individuals to join our team in Montréal, Québec. Under the supervision of the Team Leader, the Mobile Equipment Mechanic is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and overhauling various types of equipment while providing regular updates to their supervisor.
Responsibilities
Perform preventive, general, and periodic maintenance on engins such as excavators and forkliftsDiagnose reported issues and determine their causesCarry out minor and major repairs on vehicles, including:EnginesHydraulic systemsPneumatic systemsBraking and steering systemsElectrical and electronic circuits and networks, as well as transmission componentsComplete work orders and inspection sheets, detailing the tasks performedEnsure proper use and functioning of company equipmentNotify the immediate supervisor of any unplanned actions required, detected issues, or time overrunsKeep the work area clean and safeWork safely and in compliance with the company’s health and safety policies and proceduresPerform any other related duties as requiredQualifications
To join our team:
Diploma of Vocational Studies (DEP) in construction machinery mechanics or equivalent training, with skills in electricity, hydraulics, diesel engines, transmissions and welding.Minimum of three years' experience as a construction mechanic, or equivalent combination of education and experience.Valid class 5 driver's license (mandatory).Possession of a complete toolbox (imperial and metric systems).Proven ability to work independently and proactively solve problems.Versatility, rigor and attention to detail.Sense of initiative and autonomy in task management.In-depth knowledge of mechanics and new technologiesAdditional Information
