Underground Mining Equipment Technician

Become a vital part of Sandvik Mining as an Underground Mining Equipment Technician in Ontario. This position involves hands-on troubleshooting, repairs, and commissioning of mining equipment, ensuring safety and efficiency.

In this role, you will be key in maintaining underground mining machinery, focusing on both mechanical and electrical diagnostics. Responsibilities include inspecting equipment, making necessary adjustments, and testing post-repair functionality. Your keen attention to safety standards and compliance with industry regulations will be critical as you document all reports and conduct risk assessments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair underground mining equipment issues

• Conduct inspections to evaluate equipment performance

• Replace defective components adhering to specifications

• Test repaired machinery to guarantee proper operations

• Commission and train on new equipment as required

Requirements:

• Diploma or equivalent experience in related fields

• At least five years in underground mining equipment

• Familiarity with Sandvik equipment is preferred

• Strong problem-solving and communication skills

• Willingness to travel to various mine sites
