Dream is looking for a Building Operator (Bilingual)!
Dream Office REIT is currently seeking a Building Operator who is ready to work hard, values excellent customer service, is self‑motivated, and eager to learn.
Who are you?
Over 5 years of experience as a building operator, demonstrating proactive problem‑solving and a commitment to results.
Proactive, leading by example and focused on continuous improvement and efficiency.
Passionate about working with people and thriving in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
What will you do?
Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, mechanical, and life‑safety systems.
Handle tenant service calls (e.g., light replacement, heating/cooling issues) professionally.
Ensure the appearance and safety of the property.
Operate building automation and security computer systems.
Troubleshoot technical issues and provide solutions and recommendations.
Oversee contractors and ensure compliance with building guidelines.
Communicate with Operations Supervisor/Property Management on building and tenant matters.
Maintain maintenance and daily logs of equipment.
Contact suppliers, obtain quotes, and order materials/supplies.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements
Work in confined spaces.
Frequent bending, twisting, crouching, climbing, and reaching.
Jumping into vehicle to respond to emergency calls in the development.
Move and lift heavy equipment and supplies.
Combination of walking, standing, and sitting with limited sitting time.
Qualifications & Skills
Government of Canada Reliability Status clearance (or ability to obtain).
Valid driver’s license.
Own vehicle;
Zibi Development spans approximately 34 acres requiring daily travel.
5+ years of experience in building operations, preferably in a commercial/office/retail environment.
Operator Class 5 Certificate (completed or in progress).
Knowledge of safety and fire codes and WHMIS procedures.
Proactive problem identification and resolution.
Team player with ability to work independently.
Above‑average computer and communication skills.
Benefits
Full‑time position with a base salary range of $55,000–$68,000.
