Signal Maintenance Assistant Position

Location: Montreal

PNR Rail Works seeks a Signal Assistant to support project work outdoors near live tracks. This role is physically demanding, requiring teamwork and adherence to safety protocols.

As a Signal Assistant, you will report to the Signal Supervisor, participating in both project and maintenance operations. This position requires 1-2 years of field electrical experience, a valid driver’s G license, and the ability to operate and maintain equipment. Collaboration is key to ensuring safe and effective signal maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform various general labor and equipment tasks

• Maintain readiness of tools and equipment

• Undertake special duties as assigned by supervisors

• Cooperate with Signal Maintainers during projects

• Adhere to all safety practices and procedures

Requirements:

• Minimum 1-2 years of relevant field experience

• Valid driver’s G license necessary

• Background in construction or farm work

• Skills in small engine mechanics preferred

• Experience with heavy machinery is a plus
