Position: Diesel Mechanic Role with CN

As a Heavy Duty Mechanic, your responsibilities include performing inspections, repairs, and overhauls on locomotives. You will receive on-the-job training and participate in a structured apprenticeship program, preparing you for a sustainable career. Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect and maintain locomotives following safety protocols

• Diagnose and repair diesel engine issues

• Operate welding and repair tools safely

• Complete detailed inspection and work reports

• Test locomotives post-repair for functionality

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Diesel mechanic experience or diploma

• Valid driver's license required

• Proficiency in using measurement devices

• Capacity to lift heavy materials up to 50 lbs (22 kg)
