What we are looking for:
We are looking for aMaintenance Technician who will be responsible for maintenance and repair of machines and equipment at Saand during the Afternoon Shift.

Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the Production Supervisor, the Maintenance Technician I is responsible for preventive maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment. The Maintenance Technician will also implement and apply continuous improvement and modern manufacturing principles by highlighting deficiencies and recommending changes to training, working practices, and processes.

Repair, install, dismantle, reassemble, move, and maintain plant machinery and equipment such as mixers, conveyors, compressors, and pumps, follow diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshoot malfunctions.
Repair or replace control devices such as switches, proximity sensors, push buttons, contractors, motor starters, etc., as needed.
Perform work order repairs, inspections, and adjustments; respond to emergency breakdowns during the production process.
Able to set up and operate welders, drill press, grinder, hand tools and other metalworking equipment
Fabrication and modification of new and existing equipment
Maintain/calibrate measuring tools and equipment
Completes maintenance and repair records as required.
Adheres to company safety programs, including Lockout / Tagout, zero mechanical state for equipment, fall protection equipment, ladder, lift equipment regulations and confined space requirements per legislated requirements and the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
Performs other duties as assigned.
