Responsibilities

Install new HVAC units for residential and commercial customers within approximately a 100 km radius of the central shop.

Perform diagnostic assessments, repairs, and servicing of existing HVAC systems, including warranty work as required.

Carry out preventive maintenance on HVAC equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.

Handle field service calls independently, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues on-site.

Use appropriate tools and equipment to complete installations, repairs, and maintenance to a high standard.

Communicate clearly and professionally with clients during service visits, explaining work performed and any required follow-up.

Maintain accurate records of work completed, parts used, and time spent on each job.

Operate the company vehicle safely and responsibly, adhering to all traffic regulations.

Represent the company positively by maintaining a professional appearance, attitude, and level of workmanship.

Coordinate with the shop and office team as needed to schedule jobs, obtain parts, and report any issues encountered in the field.

Essential Skills

5+ yeasr of experience installing, servicing, and maintaining HVAC systems in residential and/or commercial settings.

Field service experience, including responding to service calls and working independently on client sites.

Valid G3 or equivalent gas-related qualification, with G3 considered more important than an AC license for this role.

Clean driving record and valid driver’s license suitable for operating a company vehicle.

Ability to perform preventive maintenance and follow established service procedures.

Additional

Skills & Qualifications

AC license is preferred and considered an asset.

Experience working in both residential and commercial HVAC environments.

Familiarity with warranty work processes and documentation.

The role is field-based, with a central shop located in Carleton Place Ontario that serves as the home base for equipment and coordination. You travel to client sites within approximately a 100 km radius using a company vehicle, spending most of your time on‑site installing new HVAC units or servicing and repairing existing systems, including warranty work as required. Standard hours are Monday to Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with some client interaction during service visits but a strong focus on independent work.

Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Ottawa, ON.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $72000.00 - $83000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
