Leavitt Machinery is hiring a Field Technician for Dock & Door Systems in Ottawa, Ontario. This position emphasizes mechanical skills for the repair and maintenance of critical warehouse equipment.
In this onsite role, you will join our Service team, focusing on diagnosing and repairing a variety of dock systems and overhead doors. Your work is crucial in ensuring timely service, completing safety inspections, and documenting services performed for customer satisfaction. Be prepared to tackle physical tasks and engage with customers with professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
• Diagnose and repair dock systems and associated components
• Maintain and service overhead and rolling doors
• Perform safety inspections and complete preventive maintenance
• Respond to customer service calls with urgency
• Document services and communicate effectively with clients
Requirements:
• Experience in similar roles is preferred
• Strong mechanical skills and the ability to troubleshoot
• Basic welding knowledge is a plus
• Ability to work independently in various weather conditions
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
