Skilled Handyman  Purpose   We are seeking a reliable and experienced Skilled Handyman to join our residential construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, proven experience in low-rise residential construction, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively to support project success.
Responsibilities   Perform a variety of tasks for all aspects of the home. From foundation to finishing, including carpentry, caulking, general repair, and detailing.
Assist site supervisors with construction activities, with tasks completed efficiently and safely.
Assist in preparing and maintaining clean, organized work sites before, during and after construction.
Follow detailed instructions from supervisors and communicate effectively to clarify tasks and expectations.
Maintain strict adherence to health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
Participate as required in workplace Health and Safety procedures and initiatives.
Maintains excellent attendance, reliability, and punctuality to support team efficiency
Strong physical stamina and ability to perform strenuous tasks in various weather conditions.
Proven ability to work independently and adapt to changing project needs.
Valid Driver’s License and access to a personal vehicle (required for site mobility).
Up-to-date Health and Safety Training.
High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship with all finishing materials.
Must wear appropriate clothing for weather conditions and have their own safety boots
Need to be proficient in the safe and effective use of hand and power tools
Refined carpentry skills are essential to the position
Solid understanding of residential construction methods and materials is an asset
Must supply and maintain own set of hand and power tools required for the role
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and site specifications
Qualifications   Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in residential construction (low-rise preferred).
Diploma in Architecture or a Construction-related program (college level) preferred
