Position: Technical Specialist for Concert Hall
Location: Montreal

Join the Schulich School of Music as a Technical Specialist in concert hall operations. Provide specialized audiovisual support for events at Pollack Concert Hall, ensuring flawless technical execution.

In this role, you will assist with rehearsals, concerts, and other technical activities, primarily focusing on audio, lighting, and stage systems. Collaborate with the stage management team and technical staff while troubleshooting equipment and documenting issues. Your expertise will be vital in the ongoing renovations and operational efficiency of the concert hall.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support for rehearsals and concert events

• Operate and troubleshoot audiovisual and lighting equipment

• Assist with testing newly installed systems and equipment

• Document technical issues and communicate to staff

• Help train staff and students on equipment usage

Requirements:

• Diploma in sound or stage production required

• 2 years of technical production experience

• Experience with professional audiovisual systems

• Strong problem-solving and communication skills

• Ability to work evenings and weekends as necessary
