Special Education Teacher - Montrose, CO

This position focuses on delivering vital educational services to elementary learners with mild to moderate needs in an inclusive and nurturing environment. • Valid Colorado Special Education License, or eligibility to obtain via reciprocity
• Direct experience with elementary-aged students is highly valued
• Proficiency in special education requirements, including IDEA and compliance protocols
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, working effortlessly with faculty, families, and service providers

• Provide tailored, high-quality instruction to students receiving special education services
• Develop, implement, and document Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals
• Maintain accurate compliance records and documentation as required by the district and legal guidelines
• Work alongside district staff, parents, and other professionals to foster student success
• Participate in student evaluations and multidisciplinary team meetings to support holistic development

This contract role offers a flexible, part-time schedule with a caseload focused on elementary-aged students requiring mild to moderate support, primarily through resource and/or inclusion services. The position is designed for onsite professionals, though hybrid arrangements may also be considered.
