We are seeking a reliable, safety-focused, and motivated Production Worker - Inspector to join our production team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining industrial band saw equipment while ensuring products meet quality and production standards. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and committed to workplace safety. This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, perform physically demanding tasks, and work in cold-temperature conditions.

• Handling/Sorting frozen bones
• Inspect for metal fragments, out of spec, odors and off-color bones
• Make sure bones are meeting cut specifications
• Check temperature on product
• Reporting and recordkeeping
• Clean machinery, tools, production tables
• Ability to stand or walk for long periods of time
• Able to lift/weigh 50 lbs.
• Other duties as assigned
• Punctual and Regular Attendance Required
• Employee Must Handle to work cold Temperatures (30-40 Degrees)

• Less than high school education; at least 3 months related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
• Ability to add and subtract numbers and to multiply and divide and understand percentages. Ability to perform these operations using units of weight measurement and quantity measurements.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
• Frequent use of hands and arms for handling materials, operating equipment, and performing machine adjustments.
• Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Ability to lift or move items exceeding 50 pounds with assistance.
• Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision.
• Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts, cold temperatures, wet conditions, vibration, and elevated noise levels.
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment where hearing protection and other PPE may be required.

• Bilingual in English and Spanish

$16.00 per hour

Shift 1
Monday – Friday
6:00 AM – 2:30 PM

Candidates must be flexible and available to work daily overtime as needed.
