Grinder Machine Operator Details:

• Temp-to-Hire position
• $ 18.89 / hour
• Full Time work available
• First Shift (Monday through Friday from 07:00am to 05:30pm)

• Assist in the manufacturing process of high abrasive materials and grinder discs
• Requires production and inspection experience to perform duties.
• Operate equipment following department Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WIs).
• Read and use basic measuring devices (micrometer, calipers, protractors, and etc.) to ensure product meets specifications.
• Performs basic grinding and hardness testing on a variety of wheel specs
• Performs grinding, hardness testing, and may include gluing for all wheel types with guidance; requires sign-off by supervisor or designee.
• Select right tool for the job (shims, wheel)
• Recognize the difference in the core material
• Perform setup on machine for surface and Outside Diameter (OD) grinding without assistance
• Conduct 5S in work area daily
• Change out and indicate arbors on OD grinder
• May operate PIVs to include, but not limited to a hoist
• Performing other duties as required or directed

Grinder Machine Operator

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Previous Manufacturing, Production, and/or Fabrication experience preferred.
• Detail-oriented
• Ability to follow specs and use mathematical skills as required
• Stand for entire 10-hour shift
• Work Overtime as needed
• Previous Fabrication experience

• Applicant may be subject to a background check
