Portable Extinguisher Technician

• Perform inspections, testing, maintenance, and servicing of portable fire extinguishers and related equipment independently.
• Complete standard service calls without direct supervision while ensuring quality and compliance.
• Conduct annual inspections, maintenance, and assist with testing as required.
• Ensure compliance with NFPA standards, local codes, and company procedures.
• Accurately document services performed, including tagging and reporting.
• Identify deficiencies and recommend corrective actions to customers and supervisors.
• Maintain and properly use tools, equipment, and service vehicles.
• Communicate effectively with customers, team members, and supervisors regarding job status and findings.
• Maintain a high level of safety awareness and follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Perform work in commercial, industrial, and construction environments; use hand tools and testing equipment; travel to job sites as required.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ years of experience in the fire and life safety industry as an apprentice or technician preferred.
• NICET Level I or above preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage assigned tasks.
• Strong understanding of portable fire protection equipment and applicable codes.
• Must have a clean driving record and active driver’s license (if driving role).
• Adheres to the Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, and Company Safety Policy.

• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, climbing ladders, and working in various environments.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
• Work can be performed in commercial, industrial, and construction environments; may expose workers to varying conditions including heights, confined spaces, and active job sites.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and work for extended periods.

• Pay: $20.00 hourly DOE;
  Anticipated Close: 9.1.2026.
