Full-Time or Part-Time based on student enrollment and special education service needs. Caseload expectations will be aligned with FTE assignment.

$65,000 – $80,000 per year. Compensation is prorated based on FTE.

• Full benefits (health, dental, vision, 401k, paid leave) for 30 hours or greater per week.
• Paid sick leave for less than 30 hours per week.

The School Social Worker advances inclusive, data‑driven student services by partnering with school leaders, Providers, teachers, paraprofessionals, and families to deliver high‑quality, compliant social‑emotional and behavioral supports for qualifying students.

• Advance MTSS/RTI frameworks, trauma‑informed practices, SEL programming, and inclusive school environments.
• Provide counseling, crisis intervention, consultation, and targeted mental health supports aligned to IEP goals.
• Participate in multidisciplinary evaluation and IEP teams, including remote consultation.
• Assessment, Evaluation & Compliance – conduct social‑developmental histories, provide input on learning factors, develop IEP goals, service plans, progress‑monitoring systems, and support compliance with IDEA, Section 504, and school‑based mental health requirements.
• Intervention – provide individual and group counseling, deliver crisis intervention, risk assessments, and safety planning; implement SEL, coping‑skills, and behavior‑support interventions; promote self‑advocacy and emotional regulation.
• Collaboration – participate in team meetings, collaborate with educators and service providers, promote inclusive practices such as UDL, restorative approaches, coordinate with community agencies.
• Data‑Based Decision Making – use assessment and progress data to guide interventions, support teams in data analysis, maintain accurate service logs and documentation.
• Professional Learning & Family Support – provide training on trauma‑informed practices, SEL strategies, behavior supports, offer consultation, and educate families.

• Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW).
• Valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) Special Services Provider (SSP) license as a School Social Worker (or equivalent pathways).
• Training in trauma‑informed practices, SEL, MTSS, culturally responsive mental health supports.
• Ongoing professional development in ethical practice, crisis response, inclusive education.
• Experience working with students with disabilities and diverse family systems.
• Experience providing school‑based counseling, SEL instruction, and behavioral supports.
• Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and community partners.
• Experience providing remote counseling or tele‑support (preferred).
• Knowledge of IDEA, MTSS, SEL frameworks, and school‑based mental health practices.
• Strong counseling, crisis response, case‑management skills; effective collaboration, communication, documentation, and cultural responsiveness.
• Ability to support consistent implementation of SEL and behavioral interventions.
