What You’ll Do:As a Security Officer, you’ll play a key role in maintaining a safe and secure facility by:
- Monitoring access to the property and controlling incoming and outgoing traffic
- Performing routine patrols and inspecting doors, windows, and gates for security
- Monitoring security cameras and reporting suspicious activity
- Watching for and reporting safety hazards
- Checking incoming and outgoing trucks and ensuring proper sealing procedures
- Notifying management of any security or loss prevention concerns
- Announcing visitors and deliveries to appropriate personnel
- Supporting Quality Assurance to ensure compliance with SQF security standards
- Maintaining cleanliness of the guard post
- Preserving order and enforcing company security policies
- Performing other duties as assigned
- High school diploma or GED required
- One (1) year of security experience preferred (military experience accepted)
- Good communication and basic computer skills
- Ability to read and write at a high school graduate level
- Strong judgment and decision-making skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle emergency situations professionally
