The Operations Technician maintains and performs a wide variety of general maintenance repairs on buildings, equipment, and systems including minor electrical, mechanical, and plumbing.
Duties include performing maintenance and preventive maintenance, working from ladders, scaffolds, swing stages, boom trucks, etc.
Responding to requests for maintenance and service, performing installations, modifications, repairs, and adjustments.
Must have HVAC experience
Previous experience in the oil and fueling industry is a PLUS
- Must have some previous experience with plumbing, electrical, and mechanical in a commercial setting.
- Refrigeration experience is a PLUS
- Responsible for planning, installing, testing, troubleshooting, and maintaining electrical systems and/or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, and fixtures using hand and power tools.
- Ability to read, understand and interpret blueprints, drawings, floor plans, schedules and manufacturers operating and/or maintenance specifications as they relate to electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC and special equipment, building structures and finishes.
- Strong knowledge of the current National Electrical Code and skilled at interpreting and following the information contained.
- Ability to work independently in challenging environments while meeting demanding timelines.
- Installs, maintains, and troubleshoots fuel dispensers, fuel pumps, service station site controllers, credit card readers, cash register consoles, tank & line monitoring equipment.
- Installs, maintains, and troubleshoots electrical systems in compliance with the National Electrical Code.
- Maintains compliance with all OSHA and DOT requirements as well as all company policies.
- Immediately identify, correct, and/or report any unsafe acts, conditions or incidents.
- Bends and installs conduit.
- Installs lighting and basic control systems.
- Performs wire and cable pulls.
- Installs motor feeders and makes standard motor connections.
- Cleans and maintains jobsite, tools, and vehicles.
- Installs control and distribution apparatus such as switches, relays, circuit breaker panels, switchboards, transformers, and motor control centers.
- Plans layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures based on project drawings, specifications, and National Electrical Code.
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
- Exposed repetitive walking, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling squatting, climbing, kneeling, reaching over the head and twisting.
- Standing for long periods of time without sitting.
- Lifting and maneuvering heavy objects up to 50lbs.
- Repetitive motion of shoulders, arm, hands, wrists, and fingers.
