Transactions Specialist I/II
Full-time, regular position within the Office of Management and Enterprise Services (OMES). Salary up to $56,400 based on education and experience.
Job Details- 40‑hour work week
- Supports the Central Accounting and Reporting team

- Competitive salary up to $56,400 based on education and experience.
- Review and process vouchers reported by State agencies, including verifying coding of expenditures, compliance with the State Travel Reimbursement Act, fiscal procedures, calculations, and OMES policies.
- Assist agency staff with voucher preparation and related questions, providing technical assistance with People Soft Financials.
- Process miscellaneous and electronic warrant cancellations, warrant replacements, and encumbrance corrections.
- Review voucher deficiencies and process vouchers through the daily pay cycle to submit payments to the Oklahoma State Treasurer.
- Notify agencies of EFT exceptions, returns, vendor bankruptcies, and other similar activities.
- Perform reviews and process accounts payable transactions for invoice payments when payment errors are identified, ensuring compliance with State purchasing laws, fiscal procedures, funding calculations, and vendor information.
- Create traveler and travel arranger profiles within the State’s Online Booking Tool.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Work primarily in an office setting with a computer.
- Noise level is usually mild.
- Position requires sitting and hand/finger dexterity for computer use.
- Occasional travel may be required.
- Bachelor’s degree or
- Four (4) years of experience in accounting, accounts payable, auditing, or compliance review processes, or
- An equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Bachelor’s degree and
- One (1) year of experience performing technical accounting work, or
- Five (5) years of experience in accounting, accounts payable, auditing, or compliance review processes, or
- An equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting completion of six semester hours in accounting or bookkeeping at an accredited college or university for each six months of the required experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, finance, or a closely related field.
- Prior experience with People Soft Financials.
