Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Purchasing Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in purchasing, particularly in the procurement of pipe, valves, flanges, and instrumentation. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Quick Books is essential for this role.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the procurement process for pipe, valves, flanges, and instruments from requisition to delivery.
• Identify reliable suppliers and maintain strong relationships with them.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with vendors to ensure cost-effective purchases.
• Create and process purchase orders accurately and timely.
• Monitor and track order status to ensure timely delivery.
• Resolve supplier issues and discrepancies to maintain smooth operations.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to understand procurement needs and specifications.
• Evaluate supplier performance and provide feedback to optimize supplier base.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and lead times.
• Stay updated on industry trends and market conditions affecting purchasing.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Purchasing Specialist or similar role, preferably in the procurement of pipe, valves, flanges, and instruments.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Quick Books.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in procurement processes.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
