Business Development Director (

Location:

Tulsa, Oklahoma)

Lead large projects and transactions and develop solutions to sophisticated problems within the natural gas industry. Demonstrate superb communication skills while negotiating agreements and cultivating a cross‑functional network to gain support and achieve results.

Responsibilities & Expectations
  • Originates, evaluates, and advances a disciplined pipeline of M&A, partnership, and portfolio optimization opportunities aligned with core growth objectives.
  • Applies strong financial acumen, including financial modeling, valuation, forecasting, and analysis of mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic initiatives.
  • Partners cross‑functionally with legal, finance, operations, financial sponsors, advisors, and external counter parties to progress strategic transactions from initial screening through execution.
  • Leads negotiation, diligence, and execution of standard M&A definitive agreements and evaluates commercial revenue contracts for customer terms, risk allocation, and value durability.
  • Synthesizes large volumes of qualitative and quantitative information into clear, actionable recommendations on condensed and competitive timelines.
  • Communicates effectively through clear, compelling written and verbal presentations for senior leadership and boards.
  • Manages strategic initiatives end‑to‑end, including planning, prioritization, and execution, while fostering creativity and innovation.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Minimum fifteen (15) years’ related experience in business, engineering, or a related field.
  • Deep knowledge of upstream, midstream, or downstream assets.
  • In‑depth understanding of energy market fundamentals, commodity pricing, basin market fundamentals, competitor strategies, and commercial aspects of the energy industry.
  • Experience with asset development and a specialist perspective on deal structure, contract terms, and financial issues.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and safety‑first mindset.
Education & Preferred Credentials
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Preferred: MBA.
