Position Overview
Position located in the Tillman County Extension Office, Frederick, Oklahoma. Provides leadership to agricultural and 4‑H youth development programs with an approximately 50% split in each area. Works as a cohesive team member to involve local clientele and advisory groups in planning, implementing, and evaluating the total OSU Extension County program. Will maintain a cellular or other electronic communication device; salary includes compensation toward usage of personal device.
Responsibilities- Lead agricultural and 4‑H youth development programs.
- Collaborate with local clientele and advisory groups to plan, implement, and evaluate programs.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines, and equal opportunity policies.
- Maintain effective communication via cellular or electronic devices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or closely related field (degree must be conferred prior to start date).
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for official duties.
- Strong writing, communication, and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to listen, communicate effectively, adapt to changing priorities, manage time and resources, and present professional image.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with clientele, advisory groups, volunteer leaders, and other professionals.
- Proficiency with computing and computer‑based communication technology.
- Leadership experience designing, promoting, presenting, and evaluating educational programs that reach diverse audiences.
- Commitment to personal and professional development.
- Master’s degree in Agriculture.
- Previous experience in Cooperative Extension or closely related work.
- Base annual salary for entry level educators with a bachelor’s degree: $44,000.
- Base annual salary for educators with a master’s degree: $50,000.
- Starting salary based on education and prior relevant work experience.
- Continuing employment based on need, performance, and available county funding.
