At Alpha, academic learning occurs through AI-powered applications. No traditional lectures. No physical textbooks. Half of your workday involves facilitating one-hour life-skills sessions on topics like public speaking, sustained attention, and constructive feedback exchange. The remaining half is spent in individual or small-group settings, analyzing student progress via Coachbot data, and driving each child toward 100% completion of their weekly application-based goals.

You will not follow rigid scripts—workshop frameworks are provided as foundations, but top performers customize them and create new modules when needed.

Success in a quarter means every student in your group completes weekly app targets, passes the Test2

Pass assessment for all life-skills sessions, and 90%+ report positive relationships with you. Falling short on any of these three metrics means the role's core outcomes are unmet. During year one, you'll internalize the operational model; as you demonstrate your ability to uphold expectations, advancement opportunities open to Lead Guide, where you mentor new hires while continuing direct student work.

If you prefer conventional teaching methods, expect fully developed curricula, or view warmth and rigor as incompatible, this position will not suit you. If you've worked as a sports coach, summer camp leader, tutor who wouldn't allow surrender, or presenter capable of engaging a room of young children, the final step before receiving an offer is spending a full day on campus coaching actual Alpha students.

What You Will Be Doing

• Facilitating one-hour life-skills sessions for K-8 groups covering public speaking, concentration, feedback culture, and related competencies, customizing the framework and creating additional content when you identify needs
• Conducting daily individual and small-group sessions that drive every student to 100% weekly app completion, leveraging Coachbot analytics, Alpha's motivational structures (campus currency, performance rankings), and your rapport with each child to overcome resistance
• Delivering the Test2
  
  Pass (Alpha's competency-based evaluation) for each life skill, then coaching students who fall short until mastery is achieved
• Adjusting your approach across developmental stages, from kindergarteners requiring dynamic energy and physical activity to eighth graders needing candid conversations and firm accountability
• Serving as both the adult who maintains expectations and the adult students choose to confide in; care creates permission to demand more, and demanding more signals your confidence in their potential

What You Won’t Be Doing

• Delivering instruction at a whiteboard; academic content resides in the applications, not with you
• Building curriculum from the ground up; you animate an established framework through presence and narrative skill
