ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Installs, troubleshoots, and repairs electronic (digital and analog), audio and mechanical equipment quickly, efficiently, and effectively related to the Surveillance operation.
- Continuously maintain a high degree of cleanliness within the Surveillance Equipment Room and the Surveillance Consoles in the Surveillance Operations Room to ensure long life of equipment and free of malfunction.
- Maintains a perpetual inventory of all equipment and parts, installed, held for spares, received, and shipped for repair which includes minimally identifiers such as manufacturer, model number, and part number.
- Immediately reports to the Surveillance Supervisor any suspicious surveillance equipment malfunctions or signs of tampering.
- Must ensure all Surveillance-related equipment is performing and maintained at an optimum level.
- Will maintain a high level of knowledge of current technology and new trends through training as provided and/or scheduled through the company.
- The technician will maintain a log of scheduled maintenance and repairs to address recurring problems date of repair, repairs needed, preventive maintenance performed, and cost incurred.
- Helps train Tech II and guides them to perfect their skills as a tech on the Video Management System.
- Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
- Must be at least 18 years old or older upon employment. High school diploma or its equivalency required.
- Surveillance Technician must have 1-3 years technical experience in the Casino Surveillance field or similar related environment in the installation, repair, and maintenance of CCTV equipment.
- Must possess excellent communication skills.
- Ability to write routine correspondence and to speak effectively to the public, employees, and customers.
- Must be able to deal effectively and interact well with fellow employees.
- Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
- Must be able to be approved for and maintain a valid gaming license.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English. Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
- Work nights, weekends and holidays as required.
- Employment is contingent upon a favorable outcome of a background investigation and drug screening.
- Must maintain a professional appearance and be a team player.
- Complies with Tribal State Gaming Compact rules and approved system of Internal Controls.
- Must be physically mobile with reasonable accommodations and be able to maneuver to all areas of the casino.
- Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondary smoke, high noise levels, bright lights, and dust.
- Able to sit or stand for long hours observing numerable Closed Circuit Television screens.
- Able to observe and recall specific details of incidents and persons.
- Manual dexterity to operate, monitors, switches, computers, controllers, and cameras.
- Excellent vision including peripheral, and be able to bend, stoop, reach, kneel, twist and grip items when necessary.
- Read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Operate in mentally and physically stressful situations.
- Able to maintain strict confidentiality.
- Passionate about hospitality and customer service driven.
- Must have a professional appearance and good hygiene.
- Respect for all co-workers and guests.
- Pride in your work by creating positive energy, excitement, and fun.
- Able to work 7 days a week.
- Demonstrate positive behavior, smiling, being polite and courteous.

- Ability to work in close quarters, share limited space with other staff.
A Surveillance Technician must be available to work any shift. While every effort will be made to ensure that you are on the same shift with the days off from week to week, this will not always be possible. The schedule will be made to fit the business needs of the casino. There may be times when you will be required to work a different shift or work overtime to fill in when the department is shorthanded or during busy periods, such as holidays.
