Departmental Overview Compensation / Benefits

  • $23.79-$38.86/hr. based on previous work experience.
  • Evening differential $1.10/hr.
  • Night differential $ 1.25/hr.
  • Weekend differential $ 1.25/hr.

Our Sterile Processing Department is a fast paced, team oriented, quality driven team consisting of 22 members, with experience ranging from 6 months to 37 years. The types of procedures performed in our health system include cardiology, orthopedics, dental, endocrine, ear, nose and throat, general surgery, robotics, gynecology, labor and delivery, neurology urology, and bariatrics. As a team, we process between 2500 and 15,000 instruments per day.

Job Summary
  • Decontamination

  • Identifies and initiates appropriate sterilization method
  • Supplies and Equipment
  • Distribution
  • Provides and maintains a safe environment for the patient and staff by complying with hospital and unit specific policies
Qualifications Education
  • All levels require minimum High school education or the equivalent
Experience
  • Must be Certified through the HSPA (formerly IAHCSMM) or CBSPD with the CRCST or CSPDT credential respectively
  • 1 year minimum sterile processing experience required

(Above requirements can be met by the equivalent combination of education and experience).

Licensure/Certification
  • Level 4:
    Must be certified in Sterile Processing
Schedule

M-F 2:30pm – 11:00pm / Holiday rotation
