Patient Services Billing Specialist

• Respond to inbound patient inquiries about professional billing, statements, balances, and requests
• Explain charges, payments, and insurance processing using Epic tools
• Collect and post patient payments according to policy
• Document interactions and route complex issues for escalation
• Meet productivity, quality, and customer service standards
• Maintain respectful, professional, and empathetic communication with patients
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Must reside and work full-time in Oklahoma before the first day of employment
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Level 1:
  At least 1 year of medical insurance experience required
• Level 2:
  At least 3 years of physician billing experience required
• Level 2:
  Applied expertise in professional billing customer service workflows
• Level 2:
  Certified Professional Biller (CPB) certification from AAPC required within 1 year
• No certification/license/registration required for Level 1
• Attention to detail
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office tools
• Foundational knowledge of customer service principles and healthcare billing concepts
• Ability to work Monday through Friday, days

Demonstrates expertise in professional billing and customer service workflows, with a strong focus on patient communication and payment processing. Proficient in using Epic tools and Microsoft Office to manage inquiries and documentation effectively.
