Job DescriptionAs An Automation Engineer With OMES You Will Enjoy

- This is an on-site position located in Oklahoma City, OK.
The Automation Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and optimizing automated systems and processes to improve efficiency, reliability, and quality across operations. This role partners closely with cross‑functional teams to identify automation opportunities, develop technical solutions, and support ongoing maintenance and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities- Design, build, and maintain automated systems, software tools, and integrated workflows that enhance operational performance.
- Develop and execute test plans, validation processes, and troubleshooting procedures to ensure automation reliability.
- Analyze current processes and identify automation opportunities that reduce manual effort, increase accuracy, and support scalability.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, IT, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and implement effective automation solutions.
- Create and maintain documentation, including design specifications, process maps, test scripts, and user guides.
- Support and optimize existing automation tools, scripts, and platforms, ensuring uptime and performance.
- Monitor system performance and implement enhancements using data-driven insights.
- Ensure automation solutions adhere to security, compliance, and quality standards.
- Provide training and support to end users and team members.
- Other duties as assigned.
This position works in a comfortable office setting with a computer for a large percentage of the workday. The noise level in the work environment is usually mild. Occasional travel may be required.
Minimum QualificationsRequirements include a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field and 3+ years of experience with automation technologies such as PLCs, robotics systems, RPA platforms (UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Power Automate), or scripting languages (Python, Power Shell, JavaScript).
