Overview

IT Business Analyst – Ameristar Perimeter Security, USA (an ASSA ABLOY branded company). This role ensures that business processes and supporting systems continue to meet stakeholder needs across the enterprise, acting as the key liaison between IT and line‑of‑business staff.

Responsibilities
  • Define and document business functions, processes, and requirements across the enterprise.
  • Act as the primary Subject Matter Expert for manufacturing‑related modules and consult with functional unit management to identify and document business needs, current procedures, problems, and system access levels.
  • Serve as a liaison between end‑users, technical analysts, IT analysts, and consultants in analysis, design, configuration, testing, and maintenance of systems.
  • Analyze feasibility and develop requirements for new systems and enhancements; ensure system design aligns with user needs.
  • Monitor issue queues, resolve user problems, and support enhancement requests and requirements gathering for IT implementation.
  • Identify opportunities to improve business processes through information systems, automation, Microsoft Copilot, or non‑system changes; assist in proposal preparation for new systems or operational changes.
  • Plan, organize, and conduct business process reengineering and improvement projects end‑to‑end, from discovery through deployment and hyper‑care.
  • Test and support solutions across ERP systems (JD Edwards, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central), Service Now ITSM, and the Microsoft Power Platform.
  • Map, document, and continuously improve end‑to‑end ERP process flows (Q2C, P2P, plan‑to‑produce, warehouse/inventory) in collaboration with Sales, Operations, Finance, and Supply Chain stakeholders.
  • Research, prepare reports, and consolidate information into written deliverables for management decision‑making.
  • Participate in and lead user acceptance testing for new system functionality.
  • Develop training curriculum and conduct formal training sessions covering assigned systems and modules.
  • Travel minimally as needed to support locations.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, Marketing, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • At least five years of business process analysis, major computer system implementations, or change management.
  • At least five years of experience working with cross‑functional teams and enterprise‑wide programs.
  • Extensive hands‑on experience with ERP platforms (JD Edwards or Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central), including implementations, upgrades, configurations, and day‑to‑day support.
  • Deep understanding of end‑to‑end ERP‑driven manufacturing processes, especially Q2C, P2P, and warehouse/inventory management.
  • Experience with Service Now ITSM and related workflows; familiarity with reporting or workflow design is a plus.
  • Exposure to Microsoft Azure ecosystem, Azure services, Entra , Power Platform, SharePoint/Teams.
  • Experience with automation technologies (Power Automate, RPA, scripting) to reduce repetitive manual work.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Copilot and its application to productivity and business processes.
  • Manufacturing industry experience and knowledge of core manufacturing processes.
  • Experience in process innovation and business process redesign is preferred.
  • Strong project‑management skills and ability to deliver large business process change initiatives.
  • Excellent analytical, strategic, conceptual, and consulting skills.

  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and time‑management skills.
