Job Overview

As an IT Auditor Sr or IT Auditor III, you’ll evaluate, test, and monitor information technology controls to ensure reliability and integrity of information, compliance with policies and procedures, and achievement of operational goals and objectives. You will contribute to IT audit assurance, advisory services, and data analytics initiatives, while supporting continuous improvement of processes, systems, and risk management practices. Senior‑level incumbents serve as subject matter experts and provide mentorship to less experienced auditors.

Responsibilities

Support the internal audit plan by gathering documentation, conducting walkthroughs, developing internal control test plans, performing testing, and completing substantive testing, special reviews, and consulting engagements for IT projects and field operations. Monitor and review audit progress and work papers using traditional and/or agile methodologies to ensure accurate, timely, and high‑quality completion of audit engagements. Prepare clear and effective audit documentation and reports, validate exceptions and remediation plans with process owners, and follow up through action plan completion.

Maintain effective working relationships with IT, cybersecurity, and technology stakeholders to stay informed of system changes, risks, and emerging control considerations. Identify and elevate control gaps, systemic issues, or emerging risks to audit leadership to support risk assessment and audit planning. Perform other duties as assigned.

Additional Scope – Senior IT Auditor

Serve as a subject matter expert for IT audit assurance, advisory services, and data analytics. Lead or significantly influence audit planning, scoping, and risk assessment activities for assigned engagements. Provide advisory‑level verbal and written recommendations to management on complex process and control improvements, ensuring recommendations are practical and sustainable. Advise audit leadership on current and emerging data‑enabled audit practices, analytics, and technology trends, and champion their adoption.

Provide onboarding, mentoring, training, and day‑to‑day guidance to less experienced auditors to support audit quality and professional development.
