Position: Field Support Representative Diagnostics, Oklahoma City South

Overview

Veterinary Technicians and Practice Managers working as a Field Support Representative (FSR) for Diagnostics will collaborate with an internal team to develop strategies and maintain customer accounts through education and customer‑centric solutions. No two days are the same, and you’ll spend your time in the field building relationships, solving problems, and supporting customer success. This highly dynamic, customer‑facing role involves daily customer visits, schedule adjustments for events, and occasional visits to emergency practices.

Responsibilities
  • Travel up to 75% of the time (5+ days of car travel per week and 6–8+ overnight stays per month). Weekend hours and weekday overtime may also be required.
  • Install and train clinic staff on IDEXX Analyzers such as Pro Cyte, Catalyst One, Sedi Vue, and InVue.
  • Support critical customer visits by providing onsite technical troubleshooting when things don’t go according to plan.
  • Work remotely from a home‑based office while planning and strategizing customer visits.
  • Manage your schedule based on the unique attributes and needs of your customers while focusing on personal professional development and growth.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience working in a veterinary practice or a similar role.
  • Familiarity with IDEXX products.
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
  • Residency in the Oklahoma City South area; willingness to travel within this territory and occasionally outside of it.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships to gain confidence and trust from others.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with customers, management, and peers.
  • Planning and prioritization skills to make quality, timely decisions.
  • Effective listening skills to discover customer needs and adapt approach and demeanor to different situations.
  • Comfortable learning and using technology such as computers, tablets, and smartphones; computer networking experience is a plus.
  • Physical ability to lift, move, and carry up to 60 pounds and perform tasks involving extending, reaching, bending, stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
  • Specific vision abilities including close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • A hearing acuity sufficient to effectively communicate with customers and employees via telephone and in person.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English with customers and team members.
  • Willingness to travel and work within the assigned area and drive car for extended periods.
