Trainee Technical Support Specialist tasked with providing computer user support in the CNI Corporate environment. Responsibilities include troubleshooting password resets, desktop support issues, and specialized application support, as well as monitoring computer systems and operations as assigned.
Responsibilities- Handle inbound telephone customer requests
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues using service desk procedures
- Perform problem diagnosis, research, isolation, and resolution
- Work independently to determine the most efficient solution, including procedural changes when necessary
- Apply system analysis techniques, consulting with users to determine hardware, software, or system functional specifications based on user profiles
- Monitor assigned queues, voicemail, web sites, and other communication methods for user support requests
- Document all actions taken and escalates tickets to higher-level support groups as needed; assist in maintaining and improving help‑desk SOPs
- Reset user passwords and provide desktop and specialized application support
- Monitor computer systems and operations as assigned
- Answer help desk phones promptly and adhere to standard documentation procedures
- Acheive self‑development goals by attending available training
- Plan daily activities within company policy and supervisor’s instructions to maximize personal output
- Must be able to pass a background check
- CompTIA A+ Certification preferred
- Experience with PC hardware, MS Active Directory, Exchange 2013+ messaging services, Windows Server 2008/2012, network infrastructure, Windows 7, MS Office 2013, desktop and network operating systems, and MS Outlook
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently
Associate’s degree and a minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Estimated pay range $19 to $22 per hour, contingent on location, skillset, and experience.
