OverviewAs the Field Property Adjuster you are responsible for investigating and confirming the facts of loss for the most complex Homeowner's Claims. You determine coverage, damages and adjust and negotiate claims within your authority. You create a comprehensive estimate of damages for the most complex first party homeowner claims leading to the proper disposition. This role is utilized as peer mentor and may assign direction to more junior employees, having mastered our processes and obtained technical expertise.
We are looking for a highly organized and customer-focused Property Field Adjuster to join our team. The ideal candidate will be based in Cleveland, Ohio or live within close proximity to Akron, Ohio. In this role, you will manage moderate residential and some condo claims, conducting both in-person field inspections and virtual assessments from home. Success requires strong conflict management skills, proficiency in Xactimate, and a passion for delivering excellent customer service.
Responsibilities- Exhibits mastery estimating fundamentals to create estimates of damages on the most complex 1st party homeowner losses of all severities
- Builds mastered relationships with both internal and external customers
- Interprets regulatory compliance and fair claims practices
- Negotiates settlements, makes settlement payments and documents all activities in the most complex files
- Applies mastered content in interpretations of all policy types written by the company and assists leadership in formal and ad hoc training
- Recommends process improvements
This job does not have supervisory duties.
Sign-On BonusYou may be eligible for a $1,000 Licensing Sign on Bonus if you have the applicable active licenses needed for this role. This could include Home Resident Property & Casualty License, Designated Home State (DHS) Florida or Texas License, and/or applicable Appraiser License. Current employees or candidates who have previously worked for Allstate are not eligible for this sign-on bonus.

CompensationBase compensation offered for this role is:
Field Property Adjuster Cons II: $56,000./salary;
Field Property Adjuster Sr Cons I: $65,600./salary;
Field Property Adjuster Sr Cons II: $65,600./salary. Compensation is based on experience and qualifications. Total compensation may include incentive pay where applicable.
As a requirement of employment, individuals who currently hold an active insurance license must terminate all existing appointments prior to onboarding and must not hold any outside appointments during employment. Applicants with a resident producer license must surrender that license when instructed by the licensing team.
