Project Manager – Higher Education, Sports & Institutional Projects Position Overview
An ENR Top General Contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the successful execution of complex Higher Education, Sports & Recreation, and Institutional construction projects throughout Oklahoma and the surrounding region. This individual will oversee projects from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring delivery aligns with schedule, budget, quality, and client expectations.
The ideal candidate brings strong operational leadership, client relationship management, and experience managing large-scale commercial construction projects in active campus and institutional environments.
Key Responsibilities- Lead all phases of construction projects including preconstruction, budgeting, procurement, execution, and closeout
- Manage project financials including budgets, forecasting, cost tracking, change orders, and monthly reporting
- Develop and maintain project schedules in collaboration with field leadership and trade partners
- Coordinate with owners, architects, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure project objectives are achieved
- Lead OAC meetings, subcontractor meetings, and internal project reviews
- Oversee contract administration, RFIs, submittals, and procurement processes
- Partner closely with Superintendents to drive jobsite safety, quality control, and operational efficiency
- Identify and mitigate project risks while proactively solving complex construction challenges
- Maintain strong client relationships and contribute to repeat business opportunities
- Mentor and support Project Engineers and emerging operations staff

- Occupied campus or phased construction environments
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred
- 5–10+ years of commercial construction experience with a General Contractor
- Proven experience managing large, complex commercial projects from start to finish
- Strong understanding of construction means and methods, scheduling, budgeting, and contract administration
- Experience with project management software including Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or similar platforms
- Excellent leadership, communication, and client-facing skills
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders in fast-paced project environments
