Maintenance Technician – Refrigeration​/Mechanical 1st shift

This role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment and utility systems. The technician must possess strong refrigeration, mechanical, electrical, and machine‑control skills.

• Maintain records and complete paperwork according to regulatory requirements.
• Improve equipment/system maintenance and develop predictive and preventative maintenance programs.
• Determine parts needed for repairs and submit requisitions.
• Service primary equipment such as freeze dryers, walk‑in coolers, freezers, cooling towers, chillers, and vacuum pumps.
• Perform troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance as assigned on the 1st shift (7:00a.m.–3:30p.m.).
• Document repairs and maintenance in CMMS and logbooks.
• Operate within cGMPs, SOPs, and compliance standards.

• Two years’ experience in refrigeration or mechanical fields (required).
• Associate degree from an accredited technical/trade school in refrigeration/HVAC with 2years industrial experience (preferred).

• Safe operation of hand and power tools.
• Strong oral and written communication.
• Ability to influence internal and external work groups.
• Strong organizational skills.
• High motivation and work ethic.
• Interpretation of blueprints and schematics.
• Valid driver’s license may be required.
• Computer literacy: MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, and CMMS.
• Availability for flexible hours, including overtime, weekends, holidays, and on‑call duties.
• Color discrimination for mechanical and electrical work.

• Occasional lifting up to 50lb.
• Exposure to temperature variations, noise, and unconditioned areas.
• Prolonged standing, crouching, sitting, walking, and climbing.
